Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for a locum tenens opportunity in West Columbia, South Carolina. This position involves working within a dynamic team in a large acute care hospital setting. The role is designed to be challenging yet rewarding, providing anesthesia care across various surgical specialties.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver anesthesia care for general surgery, orthopedics, neurosurgery, and urology, among other specialties. Collaborate with a team of 70 CRNAs and 15 anesthesiologists under a Medical Direction Care Team model. Occasionally assist at a nearby Ambulatory Surgery Center, with travel required once or twice weekly. Utilize Epic EMR system for charting and patient management. No need for regional anesthesia skills such as spinal, epidurals, or blocks.

September 8, 2025 Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: Standard 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM) with the possibility of 4x10-hour shifts. No on-call duties required. Support from anesthesia technicians is available.

Qualifications:

Must hold NBCRNA certification. Valid South Carolina state license required, compact licenses accepted. ACLS certification and DEA registration required. A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in a similar setting is preferred. Additional Information: COVID-19 vaccination is mandatory with no exemptions. Flu vaccination status is currently unknown. Credentialing timeframe is 60 to 90 days. Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are not eligible.
