Sr. Attorney

Description

We are looking for a skilled and experienced senior attorney to join our team in Columbia, South Carolina. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in civil, collections and/or real estate litigation and possess a strong ability to handle legal processes such as drafting motions, conducting discovery, and preparing briefs. This role presents an excellent opportunity for a licensed attorney eager to contribute their knowledge and skills to a dynamic firm.

Responsibilities:

- Represent clients in civil litigation cases, advocating effectively on their behalf.

- Draft and file motions with precision to advance legal proceedings.

- Conduct thorough discovery processes to gather necessary evidence and documentation.

- Prepare well-researched legal briefs and arguments to support case strategies.

- Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals to ensure cohesive case management.

- Provide expert legal counsel to clients, addressing their concerns and legal needs.

- Analyze complex legal issues and develop strategic solutions.

- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of laws and regulations relevant to civil litigation.

Requirements

- Must hold a current license to practice law.

- Candidate should have 5-8+ years of experience in real estate, civil litigation, and/or creditors' right practice.

- Strong skills in drafting motions and preparing legal briefs.

- Proficiency in conducting discovery and handling evidence.

- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

- Ability to analyze and solve complex legal problems effectively.

- Demonstrated capacity to manage multiple cases simultaneously.

- Knowledge of legal procedures and regulations applicable to litigation.
