Job Summary
Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse II provides individualized, goal-directed patient care to families and patients at a competent level utilizing the principles and practices of the nursing process. The RN delivers safe and effective care and collaborates with other members of the health care team to achieve desired results.
Qualifications and Experience- Associate degree in nursing;
Bachelor’s degree preferred. - Registered Nurse license issued by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers or AHA‑recognized equivalent; or American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider).
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required. - Ability to perform job functions while standing, sitting, walking, and climbing stairs.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in temperature extremes; work in confined/cramped spaces.
- Ability to lift and carry 50 lb. unassisted; lift objects 50 lb. from/to floor at 36‑in. height; lift from 36‑in. to overhead 25 lb.; exert up to 50 lb. of force.
- Ability to perform repetitive motions with hands, wrists, elbows, and shoulders; reach overhead; maintain 20/40 vision (corrected) in at least one eye, maintain depth perception, peripheral vision, and hearing acuity (corrected).
- Ability to work rotating shifts, overtime as required, and a latex‑safe environment.
- Other physical qualities: maintain firm grasping, fine manipulation, gross motor functions, and workload in stressful situations.
- Continually maintain firm grasping, fine manipulation, and gross motor activities with fingers and hands.
- Perform pinching operations, repetitive motions, and reach in all directions.
- Maintain vision, hearing, and tactile sensory functions.
- Be physically qualified for respirator use as required.
