Position: Pediatric Neurodevelopmental Nurse Practitioner Specialty Care II (Dual Posted with Job ID 58350)

Thompson Center for Autism and Neurodevelopment is seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner Specialty Care II or Physician Assistant Specialty Care II to join our team in providing specialized care for children with autism and other neurodevelopmental conditions. This position is dual posted with Job  and 3 total positions will be filled.

Job duties:

Diagnose and manage common pediatric conditions and developmental disorders.
Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with parents and caregivers
Educate families about child development and health maintenance.
Provide counseling on behavioral issues and developmental challenges.
Conduct thorough physical and developmental assessments for children.
Evaluate growth patterns and developmental milestones.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation of patient encounters.
Monitor and document progress in developmental assessments.
Share clinical documentation for review by collaborating physician.
Work closely with pediatricians, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
Maintain open communication with the collaborating physician for patient care.
Refer patients to specialists as needed.
Advocate for childrens health and development within the community and healthcare settings.
Participate in community outreach and education programs.

The Thompson Center is a multi-disciplinary center with 15 different clinical subspecialties and is integrated fully with the academic training and research missions. The Thompson Center is growing and currently planning for a new, state-of-the art facility along with expanded clinical programming.

Master of Science in Nursing degree.
Missouri Board of Nursing RN or Nurse Licensure Compact multi-state RN. When primary state of residency changes, compact state RNs must apply under new state of residency within thirty (30) days.
Must be granted a Document of Recognition from the Missouri Board of Nursing.
