Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Level 1 Trauma Emergency Department night shift position, requiring a MO or compact RN license and advanced certifications.
Responsibilities- Position is based in a hospital Level 1 trauma Emergency Department
- Care for both adult and pediatric populations within the ED
- Patients include trauma, stroke, STEMI, and pediatric emergency cases
- Floats between Emergency Department and ED Observation units
- Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 18:30 to 06:30
- Requires 50% holiday coverage and work every other weekend
- Cerner EMR is utilized; experience preferred but not required
- Responsibilities include providing care to high-acuity emergency and trauma patients
- No floating required to the associated psych center
- First-time travelers considered with appropriate trauma experience
- Local candidates within a 75-mile radius accepted at a reduced rate
- Holiday and weekend coverage is required as part of the schedule
- Must include all requested time off at application; exceptions not permitted
- Active MO or compact state RN license in hand at time of consideration
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience with at least 1 year in the Emergency Department specialty
- Current certifications required: ACLS and PALS
- CPI certification preferred; can be completed on site if not current
- Level 1 trauma experience is required for first-time travelers
