Full Stack Software Engineer

Overview

Big Bear.ai is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer 2 for a high-priority role supporting the RECON team within CNO, focusing on technical solutions that deliver immediate operational impact. In this role, you will operate in a highly collaborative capacity across multiple product teams to design and implement mission-critical systems. As part of a small, agile team, you will establish end-to-end prototypes, develop requirements, and contribute to existing and new systems to improve infrastructure cognizance.

• Mission Understanding: Understand the customers’ mission, collaborate with team members, gather user requirements, and quickly develop solutions
• Feature Development: Independently drive feature development, taking ownership of the entire development lifecycle
• Team Integration: Integrate with, and contribute to, a diverse set of teams, systems, and technology stacks
• UI/Workflow Design: Design and create reliable, intuitive user interfaces and workflows
• Innovative Solutions: Develop cutting-edge solutions for data visualizations, task automation, and workflow enhancements

• Clearance: Must possess and maintain an active TS/SCI w/Polygraph
• Education & Experience:
  • 8 years of experience with a B.S. in a technical discipline or 4 additional years of experience in place of a degree
• Technical Expertise:
  • Technology flexibility, demonstrated by experience developing across the stack (UI/UX, middleware/API, back-end, and Dev Ops) and a willingness to use any necessary technology to achieve the solution
  • Experience developing with at least one UI framework (e.g., React, Vue, Angular)
  • Experience writing scripts and services in Python
  • RESTful web application experience using both Spring Boot and Python
  • Familiarity with Relational Databases (e.g., Postgres, SQLite)
  • Familiarity with Git Lab (CI/CD)
