Overview
The Pennsylvania District/Mid Atlantic of the US is home to a diverse set of customers from Pharma to Food to Academic in nature. Waters is looking for a Sr District Sales Manager (PA/VA/MD/DC) who has demonstrated leadership to handle our Pennsylvania District Sales team. This is a great opportunity to lead a team of sales and support professionals and contribute to a company focused on delivering benefit to customers, employees, community, and shareholders.
Responsibilities- The District Sales Manager must be a highly motivated, results-oriented leader with a proven track record to motivate and develop a field sales and support organization.
- Identify and resolve problems proactively, control costs, and improve the efficiency of a sales team.
- Direct sales and support responsibility for the Pennsylvania District revenue, including achieving financial objectives for orders, sales, margin, and spending budgets.
- Collaborate with field and worldwide marketing groups to build a dynamic, high-reaching business plan to improve market share and achieve budget across geographic, product, and market segments.
- Establish, reinforce, and build strategic relationships with the executive levels of major accounts and ensure direct reports establish and maintain these relationships as well.
- Ensure a truly great customer experience by fostering a sales and support team that is passionate about customer engagement and success.
- Develop direct reports to improve sales performance and enable career growth.
- BS/Masters/PhD in a scientific discipline (e.g., chemistry, biology, or biochemistry) or a science-related field of study
- At least 5 years direct sales experience; management experience preferred
- Strong technical background in analytical technologies, LC/MS preferred
- Strong understanding of the Pharmaceutical and Biopharmaceutical market space
- Experience with Salesforce or other Sales and Customer platforms
