The general pay scale for this position at MOH is $ - $ per year. The actual hiring rate is dependent on many factors, including but not limited to prior work experience, education, job/position responsibilities, location, work performance, etc.

Under supervision or in collaboration with practice physicians, involved in the care of individuals, families and patient groups who are dealing with cancer or other related diagnosis. This care may be in clinic or virtually, via telemedicine. Responsibilities may include duties related to prevention, screening, patient care, management, and research. May serve as direct caregiver, health care consultant, patient educator, administrator, or researcher.
Ensures compliance with OSHA and other regulatory standards and requirements. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients.
- Initiate and document appropriate interventions; evaluate and record patient/family response and prescribe therapies as indicated.
- Perform procedures with minimal supervision.
- Assess patient/family needs and provide education.
- Promote wellness and recommend community resources to meet patient and family needs.
- Frequently incorporate evidence‑based research into clinical practice.
- Have solid knowledge of reimbursement procedures and documentation requirements.
- Complete patient charge capture and medical record documentation in a timely fashion.
- Likely provide case management for patients and their families.
- Sometimes serve as a resource for nursing staff by providing information about clinical trials being studied.
- May provide palliative care for patients and their families as needed.
- May promote or provide staff education.
- Responsibilities may include rounding at affiliated hospitals, weekend or after‑hour calls.
- May mentor new advanced practice providers.
- May precept APP students.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Nurse PractitionerMaster of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited nursing school and successful completion of a Nurse Practitioner program. This position typically requires a minimum of 3 years of experience as a practicing Nurse Practitioner, preferably in the chosen specialty. RN state licensure and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state. Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner.
AOCNP preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS)/CPR certification required.
Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program. Current NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants) certification. This position typically requires a minimum of 3 years of experience as a practicing Physician Assistant, preferably in the chosen specialty. Current state license as a Physician Assistant in practicing state. Basic Life Support (BLS)/CPR certification required.
