Summer Intern- Information Technology Service Analyst, Columbia, MD

Rohde & Schwarz's IT team is looking for an intern with fresh eyes and an analytical mindset to help evaluate and improve operations across three technical services. This role is ideal for someone pursuing a career in IT support or management who wants firsthand experience of how a regional IT team operates within a global organization and to drive process improvements that generate concrete data points for their resume.

The intern will also gain exposure to a range of technologies and platforms, collaborate with a skilled, multi-level team, and apply practical skills learned in school.

Your tasks

• Track and report on performance of multiple technical services in the ITSM tool (Service Now)
• Work with SMEs on technical process documentation
• Analyze cases and key indicators to identify patterns, trends, or deviations
• Propose and document process improvements for service delivery
• Assist in data collection for compliance related activities
• Analyze internal customer satisfaction trends and develop remediation plans

Your qualifications

• Rising Jr or Sr year in IT or related field
• Minimum 3.0 GPA
• Working knowledge of end-to-end IT processes and lifecycle, including account provisioning, application development, hardware lifecycle management, documentation, and monitoring.
• Familiarity with IT ticketing systems and reporting (Service Now preferred).
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Visio.
• Summer resident of the greater Columbia, MD area. We are unable to provide housing or relocation for summer interns
• US Citizen or Permanent Resident

This is an hourly position, paying $22-$27/hour, minimum of 30 hours per week.
