We are seeking a highly skilled and driven Senior Azure Dev Ops Engineer with deep expertise in Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) to lead the design, automation, optimization, and operational management of enterprise virtual desktop environments in Microsoft Azure. In this role, you will architect and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performing AVD infrastructures while leveraging Dev Ops principles to automate provisioning, configuration, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
You will play a critical role in delivering secure, reliable, and cost-efficient virtual desktop solutions that support modern work forces, hybrid environments, and enterprise compliance requirements.
3 days in office.
Responsibilities- Architect, deploy, and manage Azure Virtual Desktop environments including host pools, session hosts, application groups, FSLogix profiles, and scaling plans
- Design and implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates
- Build and manage CI/CD pipelines in Azure Dev Ops for image creation and infrastructure deployments
- Develop automation using Power Shell and Azure CLI for provisioning, patching, scaling, and lifecycle management
- Engineer and optimize Windows 10/11 multi-session and Windows Server images using Azure Image Builder or Packer
- Implement identity and access controls using Azure AD, Entra , RBAC, and Conditional Access
- Configure and manage FSLogix profile containers with Azure Files or Azure Net App Files
- Monitor and optimize performance using Azure Monitor and Log Analytics
- Lead cost optimization strategies including autoscaling, right-sizing, and reserved capacity
- Ensure high availability, disaster recovery readiness, and security compliance
- Collaborate with networking and security teams to support secure connectivity and zero-trust architectures
- Lead incident response and root cause analysis for AVD-related issues
- Extensive hands‑on experience designing and supporting Azure Virtual Desktop in enterprise environments
- Strong knowledge of Azure infrastructure including VNets, NSGs, Azure Firewall, Load Balancers, Azure Files, and identity services
- Proficiency in Power Shell and Azure CLI
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Bicep
- Proven experience building CI/CD pipelines in Azure Dev Ops
- Strong Windows administration background including Active Directory and endpoint management
- Experience with FSLogix configuration and troubleshooting
- Solid networking fundamentals and hybrid connectivity experience
- Understanding of Azure monitoring, logging, and security best practices
- Experience with Azure cost management and performance optimization
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis without the need for current or future sponsorship (e.g., no visa sponsorship will be provided).
Compensation: $165,000 per year
