Founded in the District of Columbia in 1968 and originally contracted to develop and support the US Army recruiting system (contract held for 42 years), SA has since become an industry leader in designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive information management applications for government regulatory agencies across the country. Our licensure experience began in 1994, providing the Maryland Board of Nursing with a licensing solution and has since evolved to support many regulatory needs, including licensing, permitting, enforcement, inspections, investigations, case management, online payments, public verification, robust reporting, online self-service for applicants and license seekers, and paperless regulatory operations.

For nearly three decades, SA has built a solid track record of demonstrable success, delivering SaaS licensure and compliance solutions to government regulatory agencies. SA is currently supporting state government agencies, licensing boards, and other regulatory operations in 22 states for nearly 800 different professions, occupations, and industries.

We will consider qualified candidates to work fully remote (must reside in the U.S. only).

We’re hiring a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join our platform team and help evolve the infrastructure, observability, and security posture of our Azure-based SaaS platform. You’ll work closely with product engineers and technical leadership to build systems that are secure, scalable, and maintainable - balancing security with velocity.

This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in infrastructure, cloud security, and CI/CD automation, and wants to help build a strong Dev Ops culture in a growing Gov Tech product ecosystem.

• Design and evolve Azure platform infrastructure with a focus on scalability, reliability, and growth readiness.
• Participate in capacity planning to support growth, peak demand, and seasonal usage patterns.
• Integrate with development resources to implement infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Bicep).
• Troubleshoot production infrastructure issues and lead incident response efforts, including coordination, escalation, and real-time remediation across teams.
• Conduct post-incident reviews (postmortems) focused on root cause analysis, corrective actions, and long-term reliability improvements rather than blame.
• Monitor and operate production systems using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Sentinel, and related observability tooling.
• Improve system reliability and performance through alerting, error monitoring, SLOs/SLAs, and analysis of performance and capacity trends.

• Collaborate with security analyst to define and implement security controls across Azure resources and pipelines.
• Manage secrets, certificates, and identity integrations.
• Automate security posture checks in CI/CD pipelines.
• Maintain policy-as-code using Azure Blueprints or Defender for Cloud.

• Act as a key team member in the authorization and enablement of access to secured resources.
• Support SOC 2 Type II compliance through tooling, automation, and audit readiness.
• Respond to evidence requests and generate reports from observability and security systems.
• Contribute to the documentation of platform controls and best practices.

• Support, maintain, and own CI/CD pipelines (Git Hub Actions, Azure Dev Ops, or equivalent).
