Overview

We’re seeking a Technical Project Manager to provide operational and project management support to our Product Development organization (PDev). In this role you will work closely with the Director of Software Engineering, CTO, and engineers to keep projects moving, maintain clarity across stakeholders, and ensure engineering execution aligns with company priorities.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, technically fluent, experienced in supporting software teams, and able to translate requirements into actionable engineering tasks. This position is hybrid and based out of our Technology HQ in Columbia, MD.

Project & Sprint Operations
  • Own Asana task structures, sprint cadence, backlog organization, dependencies and task hygiene.
  • Manage scope changes, requirement adjustments, and impacts to engineering timelines.
  • Track execution against timelines and milestones, escalating risks to PDev management early.
  • Maintain predictable workflow by gathering updates and following up with engineers.
Technical Coordination
  • Translate product side needs into actionable engineering tasks.
  • Partner with engineering leads to ensure requirements are clearly defined and scoped.
  • Evaluate resource constraints (hardware, system, bandwidth) and elevate requirements.
  • Assess impact of demos, customer requests, or external asks on PDev timelines.
Documentation & Cross-Team Communication
  • Support administrative needs for PDev to ensure operational efficiency across the team.
  • Ensure consistent, organized documentation accessible across PDev and Ops.
  • Prepare and deliver status updates directly in PM forums, including progress, risks, milestones, and escalation items.
  • Communicate timeline changes, priority adjustments, and dependencies clearly.
  • Own and present project status, risks, and blockers in changeover meetings, PM meetings, and other recurring cross-functional syncs.
  • Coordinate closely with Operations PM for roadmap management and execution.
What You Bring Must-Have Qualifications
  • 3+ years of project management or technical program coordination experience.
  • BS in a technical or business-related field.
  • Experience supporting engineering teams in a startup or high-growth environment.
  • Proficient with task tracking and ticket-based systems such as Asana or Jira.
  • Ability to translate technical/product information into structured tasks.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Willingness to work on-site in Columbia, MD, in a hybrid capacity.
  • This position is not eligible for H‑1B sponsorship.
  • Meet Quidient, customer, and government security requirements, which may include, but are not limited to a background check, citizenship verification, and Criminal Justice Information Services verification.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
  • Experience in fast-paced or startup environments.
  • Familiarity with deep‑tech environments or customer-facing software teams.
  • Familiarity with AR/VR/XR or 3D Technology is a plus.
  • Experience supporting C-level technical leaders.
What We Offer Compensation
  • Salary Range: $100,000 – $140,000 annually
  • Annual bonus and equity as appropriate.
  • Health insurance
  • HSA Account
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Life & disability insurance
  • Opportunities for bonuses, equity, and career growth
