Compensation Range: $200,000 – $235,000 (annualized USD)
Clearance Required: Must be a U.S. citizen with an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph
We are seeking a Software Engineer (SWE3) focused on building and enhancing AI-assisted reverse engineering tooling and workflows
. In this role, you will design and implement automation and intelligent capabilities that improve how engineers analyze binaries, disassemble software, and optimize reverse engineering workflows across complex platforms.
You will work hands-on with modern reverse engineering tools and apply AI/LLM-assisted techniques to streamline analysis, annotation, and pattern identification. This position is ideal for engineers who enjoy low-level software challenges, tool development, and creating force-multiplying capabilities that improve analyst and engineer productivity.
ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement tooling enhancements to support reverse engineering workflows.
Extend, customize, or integrate reverse engineering tools such as IDA Pro and Ghidra
.Develop automation for common reverse engineering tasks, including analysis, triage, and documentation.
Apply AI-assisted techniques to binary analysis, annotation, and pattern recognition.
Support reverse engineering efforts involving Linux-based software and embedded platforms.
Collaborate with technical stakeholders to understand workflow pain points and deliver practical tooling solutions.
Produce and maintain technical documentation supporting tooling usage and development.
Hands-on experience with reverse engineering tools such as IDA Pro or Ghidra
.Experience working with AI- or LLM-powered developer tools
, including chat-based interfaces or automated coding agents.Strong understanding of low-level software concepts
, including assembly, binaries, memory models, and calling conventions.Experience developing software tools, scripts, or plugins to support reverse engineering and analysis workflows.
Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language commonly used in reverse engineering environments.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Experience reverse engineering Linux-based applications or embedded systems.
Familiarity with firmware analysis, bootloaders, and networking protocols.
Experience applying automation or AI techniques to reverse engineering tasks.
Strong proficiency in Python or similar scripting languages commonly used in tooling development.
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical discipline and 12+ years of relevant professional experience
OR16+ years of relevant professional experience in lieu of a degree
Salary is determined by several factors, including location, education, experience, technical expertise, and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $200,000 – $235,000 (annualized USD).
