Visual Analyst, Level 1 (VA1) – TS/SCI w/ Poly

Location: Columbia, MD
Compensation Range: $100,000 – $126,000 (annualized USD)
Clearance Required: Must be a U.S. citizen with an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph

We are seeking a Visual Analyst (VA1) to join a collaborative Data Analytics and Web Development team supporting the design, development, and maintenance of web-based solutions and visual assets. In this role, you will help maintain a polished, professional web presence while creating high-quality graphics and visual content that support internal and external initiatives.

. You will work closely with experienced designers and developers, gaining hands‑on experience in a fast‑paced environment while contributing to projects with broad organizational impact.

• Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of web application solutions.
• Implement and modify basic scripts using JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, and CSS
  .
• Manage and update content within content management systems such as Word Press or similar platforms.
• Design and produce graphics and visual assets to support communication, presentations, and initiatives.
• Collaborate with team members to propose, review, and refine business and technical solutions.
• Help interpret requirements and translate them into clear, effective visual products.
• Support testing, updates, and iterative improvements to web content and user interfaces.

• Experience designing and implementing web-based solutions

• Familiarity with gathering user or stakeholder requirements and documenting processes.
• Basic experience with UI/UX design
  , including tools such as Adobe Creative Suite or similar.
• Understanding of web services and content management architectures

• Familiarity with modern web design and development tools, including JavaScript, React, HTML, and CSS
  .
• Strong attention to detail and visual consistency.
• Ability to learn new tools and technologies quickly.

• Exposure to AI-assisted content generation or agentic coding tools.
• Familiarity with Word Press
  , Nginx
  , or other web content hosting solutions.
• Basic understanding of web hosting, monitoring, and security concepts.
• Exposure to serverless technologies (e.g., AWS Lambda).
• Familiarity with collaboration tools such as Confluence and Jira

• Interest in analytics, visualization, or data-driven storytelling.

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline and 4+ years of relevant professional experience
  OR
• 8+ years of relevant professional experience in lieu of a degree

Salary is determined by multiple factors, including location, education, experience, skills, and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $100,000 – $126,000 (annualized USD).
