Network Security Administrator

The Network Security System Administrator works within the Network Security Implementation and Sustainment (NSIS) Services and provides support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Network Security Boundaries.

• Manage network security boundary infrastructure and any processes related to the systems.
• Provide support to network security boundaries including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the network devices, firewalls, VPNs, web proxies, load balancers, etc.
• Provide Tier 1 (Basic help desk resolution) and Tier 2 (in-depth technical support) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems.
• Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.
• Provide support for hardware problems and remain involved in the resolution process.
• Configure and manage network devices, firewalls, VPNs, web proxies, and load balancers and install/load operation system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity, and configure network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.

• Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of Information Technology Network Security Boundaries.
• Provide Tier 1 problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems.
• Provide assistance to users in accessing and using Network Security Boundaries.
• Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Network Security Boundaries.

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
• Five (5) years of SA experience with a Bachelor's degree. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.

Pay Range: $86,600 - $181,800
