Must-Have:
Candidate must successfully pass the EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms.
General Emergency Department combined adult/pediatric setting experience required.
Travel experience required.
Charge experience preferred.
Description:
This position is for an Emergency Department Registered Nurse.
The shift is night with 12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30.
Every other weekend and holiday coverage is required.
The nurse will care for a diverse patient population, including neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics.
Daily census is approximately 130 patients, with a typical patient ratio of 1:4.
Candidates must have experience with triage, IV starts, and phlebotomy.
Candidates must float within their skill set as needed.
The unit has interdisciplinary support from respiratory services, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretaries.
The most common patient diagnoses require expert prioritization and organizational skills to manage a fast-paced environment.
