Financial Analyst
We are currently looking for an experienced Revenue Analyst based out of our North American headquarters in Columbia, Maryland. The role is hybrid but requires onsite presence when necessary; candidates must reside within a commutable distance of the office.
Responsibilities- Review sales order backlog with project managers on a bi‑weekly basis.
- Review order management status of standard orders on a weekly basis.
- Complete detailed reporting of changes in status for backlog orders.
- Perform monthly revenue forecast using backlog and order forecasting from the sales team.
- Conduct monthly variance reviews and document changes from period to period.
- Review customer POs to determine when revenue should be recognized under US and German GAAP.
- Weekly review of billing to ensure timely invoicing based on shipments.
- Follow up with billing team members to find the status of invoicing weekly.
- Confirm invoicing occurs in accordance with customer POs, including partial invoicing.
- Provide monthly updates on variances between invoicing forecast and actual.
- Review sales order to confirm consistency with customer POs.
- Analyze variance of forecasted orders against actual on a 1‑month, 3‑month and FY basis.
- Analyze turn‑time and margin trends for forecasting accuracy.
- Other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
- 3+ years of professional and related experience.
- Excellent organizational skills and detail orientation.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with SAP.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with a diverse group domestically and internationally.
- Attention to detail and willingness to follow up multiple times to ensure accurate completion of tasks.
- Must be located in the United States and have valid U.S. work authorization.
Salary and Compensation
The total compensation for this position ranges from $75 000 to $100 000 per year. Total compensation includes base salary, variable pay (when applicable) plus benefits. The range is determined by position, geographic location and level, and individual pay is set based on education, training, relevant work history, sales incentive structure and job‑related skills.
