System Engineer, Level 0 (SE0) – TS/SCI w/ Poly

Location: Columbia, MD
Compensation Range: $100,000 – $118,000 (annualized USD)
Clearance Required: Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph

We are seeking a System Engineer (SE0) to join a collaborative engineering team supporting the full lifecycle of complex technical systems
. This role is designed for early-career engineers who are eager to learn and apply systems engineering principles—from requirements analysis through integration, testing, and deployment.

As an SE0, you will work closely with senior engineers to support system design efforts, maintain clear and accurate technical documentation, and contribute to high-priority projects. This position offers hands-on exposure to real-world systems engineering challenges and a strong foundation for long-term career growth.

• Support the systems engineering team in the design, integration, testing, and sustainment of hardware and software systems.

• Assist in developing and documenting system requirements
  , specifications, and design artifacts.

• Maintain and update technical documentation, including system diagrams and interface control documents (ICDs).

• Collaborate with senior engineers to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.

• Participate in technical reviews, working groups, and team meetings.

• Provide clear and concise status updates on assigned tasks and deliverables.

• Support configuration management and documentation quality efforts.

• Foundational knowledge of systems engineering principles and the system development lifecycle
  .

• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in technical documentation.

• Familiarity with requirements analysis and management concepts.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or an equivalent technical discipline.

• Ability to learn new tools, technologies, and processes quickly.

• Familiarity with web hosting, monitoring, or security concepts.

• Exposure to AI-generated content or agentic coding tools.

• Interest in or exposure to mobile development or SDKs.

• Familiarity with Agile or Dev Ops development methodologies.

• Academic or internship project experience in systems design or integration
  .

• Familiarity with version control or documentation management tools.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or an equivalent technical discipline
  OR

• 4+ years of relevant professional experience in lieu of a degree

• 0+ years of professional experience required (entry-level role)

Salary is determined by multiple factors, including location, education, experience, skills, and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $100,000 – $118,000 (annualized USD).
