BBN’s Network & Cyber Technologies (NCT) team leverages computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, math, and physics to tackle customer challenges in electromagnetic warfare (EW), communications, cybersecurity, cyberspace operations, networking, and RF domains for the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC) customers.

• Develop next‑generation cyber and EW capabilities
• Create or investigate new types of cyber physical systems
• Develop exploits, implants, payloads, and communication stacks based on extensive reverse engineering, vulnerability analysis, and software development
• Collaborate with cross‑disciplinary teams to solve challenging problems and deliver actionable results
• Operationalize software through extensive testing, documentation, and integration with other systems
• Participate in laboratory and field tests to collect and analyze data, test new capabilities, and perform demonstrations
• Overnight travel required for certain projects

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, mathematics, or physics with 5+ years of experience, or an advanced degree with 3+ years of experience
• Solid, creative programming skills using one or more of: C/C++ or Python
• Experience with some assembly language (x86/64, ARM, PPC, MIPS, etc.)
• Reverse engineering skills using a tool such as IDA, Ghidra, or Binary Ninja
• Understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, wire‑level protocols, BGP, RF communications, etc.)
• Active Top Secret security clearance

• Capture the Flag (CTF) experience
• OS kernel development experience (e.g., Windows, Linux, macOS, Android)
• Network programming skills
• Hardware emulation experience
• Working knowledge of RF signal processing and algorithm development
• Hands‑on experience with system architecture design, prototyping, and technical project leadership
• TS/SCI security clearance

The salary range for this role is $95,500 USD – $181,700 USD. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to role, function, and associated responsibilities, candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Candidates may be asked to attend select steps of the interview process in-person at one of our office locations, regardless of whether the role is designated as on‑site, hybrid or remote.
