Building Automation Systems (BAS) Specialist

ATI, Inc. is looking for a full‑time Building Automation Systems (BAS) Specialist to troubleshoot, repair, service, maintain, and upgrade BAS at client sites across the United States and overseas. The role requires frequent overseas travel (two to four weeks per trip) and US citizenship with eligibility for a DoD security clearance. The position is location independent with telework, though proximity to a major international airport is required.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot, repair/service, maintain, and upgrade BAS at client sites in the United States and overseas, following company procedures and contractual requirements.
  • Conduct frequent overseas preventive maintenance, system upgrades, and troubleshooting for multiple types of building automation systems.
  • Generate reports of findings and work performed, including creating field as‑built drawings.
  • Take inventory of existing systems and parts, and recommend procurement and repairs.
  • Climb ladders and stairs, use tools while on a ladder, and lift/carry tools and equipment up to 50 lbs.
  • Coordinate and liaise with client contacts and on‑site teams.
Required Qualifications and Experience
  • 3+ years of experience with startup, point‑to‑point checkout, maintenance, and commissioning of building DDC/BAS in at least one or more of the following:
    Invensys, Tridium Niagara N4, Tridium Niagara AX, Tridium Niagara R2, Honeywell CARE, Honeywell Symmetry, Johnson Controls Metasys, Siemens Desigo, Siemens Apogee, Reliable Controls, Alerton Controls, Siemens Talon, Barber Coleman Controls, Siebe, Schneider Electric, Pneumercator fuel monitoring, Siemens WinPM power monitoring.
  • Manufacturer training or certifications for the above systems preferred.
  • Strong knowledge and practical experience with troubleshooting and editing DDC programs.
  • Strong knowledge of controls concepts for mechanical HVAC equipment in commercial buildings.
  • Experience interfacing and integrating DDC systems with electrical and mechanical equipment systems.
  • Experience using AutoCAD (plus).
  • Strong knowledge of commercial mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings and specifications.
  • Proficiency with a digital multimeter and other calibration/testing tools to troubleshoot BAS and end devices.
  • Physically able to climb ladders and stairs, use tools on a ladder, lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, tact, and professionalism when dealing with multiple client contacts/departments.
  • US citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a U.S. DoD security clearance.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office products including Word and Excel.
