Position Title Business Instructor FLSA Exempt FT/PT Full Time Hours Per Week 37.5 Work Schedule M-F 8:30-5 Grade F2 Compensation Range $63,544 Summary

The Business, Engineering & Technology Division seeks a dynamic, collaborative, and student-centered full-time faculty member to join the Business & Hospitality Department in Fall 2026. The successful candidate will provide critical leadership as the Course Coordinator for BMGT-100:
Introduction to Business. This role oversees curriculum development, quality assurance, and faculty support for the department's highest-enrollment course and serves as the primary liaison for the Dual Enrollment Program.

Essential Role Responsibilities

* Teach a 15-credit load per semester in foundational business courses; 3 units of release time is available for course coordination in fall and spring semesters.

* Serve as Course Coordinator for BMGT-100, providing leadership for course quality, enrollment management, and faculty development.

* Act as the divisional liaison for the Dual Enrollment Program and coordinate alignment for off-campus business offerings.

* Plan, organize, and teach business courses in alignment with course outcomes in multiple formats (7-week and 15-week) and modalities (face-to-face, hybrid, and online), day or evening.

* Prepare and update course materials, syllabi, and Canvas sites in accordance with departmental requirements.

* Assist division leadership with hiring, onboarding, and training part-time faculty.

* Evaluate student performance using departmental assessment tools, maintain up-to-date electronic grade books in Canvas, and inform students of progress in a timely manner.

* Participate in program management and learning outcome assessment initiatives.

* Maintain at least five (5) office hours per week while class is in session.

* Attend and actively participate in department, division, and college meetings and significant institutional events.

Minimum Education Required Master's degree Experience Required 2

Preferred Experience

Required:

* Minimum of a Master's degree in Business or a closely related field.

* Minimum of 2 years of full-time (or part-time equivalent) college-level teaching experience in business.

* Prior experience teaching foundational business courses including Introduction to Business.

* Demonstrated record of teaching excellence and the ability to teach across various modalities.

* Significant experience using Canvas or other learning management systems.

* High level of professionalism with the ability to work independently and collaboratively taking ownership in work.

* Experience working with diverse populations and a commitment to creative inclusive learning environments.

Preferred:

* Prior business course coordination experience.

* Two years or more of full-time (or part-time equivalent) experience at the community college level teaching Introduction to Business.

* Experience in curriculum development and learning outcome assessment.

* Experience working with Dual Enrollment or high school bridge programs.

* Significant prior business or entrepreneurship experience

* Two years of supervisory or faculty coaching experience.

* Terminal degree (doctorate) in Business or a closely related field.
