Role DescriptionHoward Community College seeks adjunct faculty to teach Vascular Ultrasound and Echocardiography courses. The ideal candidate brings current clinical expertise, strong teaching skills, and experience supporting student learning in both classroom and lab environments.
- Teach vascular and/or echocardiography courses following program curriculum and accreditation standards.
- Deliver instruction through lectures, labs, demonstrations, and competency-based assessments.
- Use Canvas to manage course materials, assignments, grades, and communication.
- Evaluate student performance through exams, practical skills checks, and clinical readiness assessments.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and required documentation.
- Provide timely feedback and support student success.
- Participate in required meetings or training as assigned.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a health-related field.
- Prior teaching or clinical instruction experience.
- Associate degree or higher in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field.
- Current certification in RVT, RDCS, RVS, or RCS.
- Minimum two years of recent clinical experience in vascular ultrasound and/or echocardiography.
- Proficiency with ultrasound equipment and scanning techniques.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse learners.
- Experience using Canvas or similar learning management systems.
