Equitable Advisors is a national financial planning firm that serves over 2.4 million clients nationwide. The Maryland Branch of Equitable Advisors, located in Columbia, hosts more than 80 financial professionals and staff. As an Office Coordinator, you will provide essential support to our team, ensuring efficient daily operations and a professional front‑desk experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Front‑desk coverage
  • Scheduling and reserving conference rooms
  • Mail review and distribution, in coordination with compliance
  • New business processing
  • Assist in tracking onboarding activities with the Onboarding/Ops Manager
  • Order study materials for candidates who are testing
  • Order pantry and office supplies
  • Stock copiers and fax machines
  • Miscellaneous projects, including submitting bills through Ariba

Base salary: $48,000–$50,000 per year. Additional compensation includes performance‑based incentives and spot bonuses. We provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, a 401(k) plan, and paid time off.

Required Qualifications
  • Able to work closely with both the leadership team and advisors
  • Capability to work independently and effectively in a team environment
  • Proactive decision‑making skills
  • Strong collaboration and communication abilities
  • Detail‑oriented with a focus on deadlines
  • Role requires in‑house presence 5 days per week
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1–2 years of business experience
  • Bachelor’s degree

Office Administration: Knowledge of office administration activities; ability to carry out ongoing office administration tasks effectively and efficiently in support of local and remote teams.

Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
