Floating Shift - General Laborer-Torch Operator

Location: Columbia City, IN 46725 US

Pay Rate: $14-16 / hour

Hours: Floating Shift (may require working any shift including weekends)

• Work with a local fabricator of I-Beams in Columbia City as a general laborer to operate a cutting torch.
• Use an acetylene torch to cut excess metal from I-Beams as part of a secondary process to the python machine.
• May be required to utilize an overhead crane; must be familiar with overhead cranes.
• Work outside in the elements and as part of a team; follow all company rules, safety rules, and procedures to maximize productivity and efficiency.

• Ability to understand and comply with quality & safety standards.
• Ability to lift and manipulate up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to perform simple math.

• Steel-toed or metatarsal boots, jeans, t-shirts, hard hat, safety glasses, ear protection.

• Inside and outside (not temperature controlled) – Construction/Heavy industrial.
• Noted as dirty and hot in summer, cold in winter.

• HSD/GED preferred.
• Felonies evaluated case by case.
