SummaryThe Basic EMT has the responsibility and accountability for assuring the delivery of quality pre-hospital care to patients of all ages using proper techniques and following the standards of care as established by Indiana Department of Homeland Security - EMS Division, and the Parkview Health EMS Medical Director(s).
EducationHigh school diploma or GED required.
Licensure Certification- Meets Indiana State EMT-Basic guidelines and holds a valid state EMT-Basic certification. CPR required. Valid driver's license.
- One year experience preferred.
- Must meet insurability requirements under Parkview Health vehicle and liability insurance policies, without a "driver exclusion", and/or other insurance modifications and/or high risk classification.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Meets the physical requirements of the position. Must be able to lift 100 pounds and assist with 300 pounds.
