Overview
Steel Dynamics
Electrical maintenance supporting a wide variety of electrical systems.
Responsibilities- Maintain power distribution equipment.
- Support Water treatment Facilities.
- Assist with departmental mill support and maintenance.
- Installation of new electrical equipment and systems.
- Assist contractors in repairs and maintenance.
- A strong safety record with competent knowledge of electrical safety.
- High proficiency with electrical troubleshooting along with critical thinking & problem-solving skills.
- Programming experience with Rockwell PLCs, HMIs, and their associated systems.
- Experience with instrumentation and process equipment for measurements of flow, level, pressure, temperature, and other similar devices.
- Transformers, switch gear, motors and low voltage motor controls.
- Understanding electrical schematics and drawings.
- Mechanical aptitude, compressed air systems, fire protection systems, AutoCAD or equivalent for maintaining and updating drawings.
- Power Distribution up to 34.5kV, substation knowledge, and medium voltage motors with associated motor controls.
- Experience with networks and associated protocols.
