Accountant, Financial Reporting, Financial Analyst

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join a exciting company in Columbia City, IN. This role reports directly to the Controller and plays a key part in managing core accounting and finance functions. The ideal candidate is a critical thinker with strong organizational skills and a passion for accuracy and process improvement.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting or finance preferred.
• Strong understanding of accounting policies and principles as well as some costing experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and advanced spreadsheet skills, experience with ERP, Job Boss or Synergy a plus.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Team-oriented with a strong work ethic.

• Generate customer billings and oversee billing processes.
• Provide backup support for collections, cash receipts, accounts payable, and weekly check runs.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Manage and reconcile fixed asset database and depreciation schedules.
• Prepare interim and annual financial statements by reconciling trial balances.
• Develop and maintain work center rates and weight-based costing rates.
• Analyze cost of goods sold for accuracy and provide insights.
• Partner with product line managers to ensure accurate inventory>
• Coordinate annual physical inventory counts and monitor valuation reports.
• Assist operations with obsolete and scrap cost calculations.
• Prepare weekly, monthly, and annual reports as needed.
• Support various projects and data analysis assigned byli>
• Cross-train and provide coverage for other areas as needed.
