Licensed Vocational Nurse II - ARMC

Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is recruiting for Licensed Vocational Nurses II who perform the full range of nursing duties in the care and treatment of patients. Duties include providing basic nursing care, assisting with treatments and procedures, performing data collection and administering medications.

Located on a beautiful 70-acre campus in Colton, California, Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is a state‑of‑the‑art, public/nonprofit, 456‑bed, university affiliated teaching hospital licensed by the California Department of Public Health and accredited by The Joint Commission. The hospital houses a regional burn center serving four counties (San Bernardino, Riverside, Mono and Inyo), a comprehensive stroke center, Level I trauma center and a freestanding inpatient behavioral health center.

Additionally ARMC operates five community‑based primary care clinics and over 40 specialty care outpatient services. ARMC is the primary teaching hospital for the adjacent California University of Science and Medicine (CUSM), the Inland Empire's newest medical school.

Candidates must be available to work all shifts, including day, night, swing, weekends and holidays.

Applicants selected must successfully pass a background investigation that includes fingerprinting and verification of employment history and education.

Some positions perform blood withdrawal and require Intravenous Therapy (IVT) and Blood Withdrawal certifications. Positions in Behavioral Health require a Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification issued by Arrowhead Regional Medical Center within 30 days of hire or be terminated. CPI certification must be maintained while employed.

Performance of the essential job functions requires physical agility, good vision and color discrimination; fine hand manipulation and finger dexterity in both hands; working and/or reaching above and below shoulder level; discerning speech in quiet/noisy locations; lifting up to 100 pounds with assistance and occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds.

Working conditions involve exposure to combative or assaultive patients, electricity, chemicals, infectious materials, heat and odors.

• License:
  Must possess a current Licensed Vocational Nurse license issued by the State of California.
• Certification:
  Healthcare Provider level Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Experience:
  
  One (1) year of experience as a Licensed Vocational Nurse.
