Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is a state‑of‑the‑art, public/nonprofit, 456‑bed, university affiliated teaching hospital licensed by the State of California Department of Public Health and accredited by The Joint Commission. The hospital houses a regional burn center serving four counties (San Bernardino, Riverside, Mono, and Inyo), a comprehensive stroke center, level I trauma center, and a freestanding inpatient behavioral health center.
Additionally, ARMC operates five community‑based primary care clinics and over 40 specialty care outpatient services. ARMC is the primary teaching hospital for the adjacent California University of Science and Medicine (CUSM), the Inland Empire's newest medical school.
Provide care to critically ill patients and plan, evaluate, and implement patient care according to accepted standards of practice.
QualificationsLicense
:
Must possess and maintain Registered Nurse licensure with the State of California Board of Registered Nursing.
Experience
:
Two (2) years of recent full‑time equivalent experience within the past five (5) years as a licensed registered nurse in a specialty critical care unit (ICU, Emergency Department/Trauma, Labor & Delivery, Interventional Radiology, Cardiac Services, Operative Services, or Burn Center).
Certification
:
Must possess and maintain current Healthcare Provider level Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and the following unit‑specific certifications/courses required to work in the Rapid Response Unit:
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Basic Arrhythmia Class
- Critical Care Course OR Critical Care RN Certification
Within 6 months of hire:
Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification issued by ARMC.
Candidates possessing a Bachelor's degree in Nursing and experience in a Rapid Response Unit are desired.

Applicants must pass a background investigation, physical, and verification of employment history and education.
Shift Availability: ARMC is a twenty‑four hour facility; applicants must be available to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays. Shift differentials are provided.
