San Bernardino County is recruiting for a Hospital Dietitian - Per Diem who is responsible for performing nutritional assessments, consultations, and specialized diet instruction at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC). Dietitians develop and implement plans of nutritional care based on an assessment of needs and consultation with physicians and other health-care team members regarding appropriate nutritional care, and evaluating and monitoring individuals receiving enteral/parenteral nutrition.

These positions are in the Unclassified Service and serve at the discretion of the appointing authority. They participate in the County's PST Deferred Compensation Plan and do not earn any other benefits.
ARROWHEAD REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTERLocated on a beautiful 70-acre campus in Colton, California (50 miles east of Los Angeles), Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is a state-of-the-art, public/nonprofit, 456-bed, university-affiliated teaching hospital licensed by the State of California Department of Public Health and accredited by The Joint Commission. The hospital houses a regional burn center serving four counties (San Bernardino, Riverside, Mono, and Inyo), a comprehensive stroke center, Level I trauma center, and a freestanding inpatient behavioral health center.
ARMC also operates five community-based primary-care clinics and over 40 specialty care outpatient services. It is the primary teaching hospital for the adjacent California University of Science and Medicine (CUSM), the Inland Empire's newest medical school.
Pre-Employment Process: Applicants selected for these positions must pass a background investigation, physical, and verification of employment history and education.
Availability: Per-Diem shifts may vary, generally from 8 am-5 pm. Candidates must be willing to work other shifts if necessary.

REQUIREMENTSRegistration: Must possess and maintain current registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration as a Registered Dietitian.
Experience: One (1) year of experience as a Registered Dietitian. The ideal candidate will be willing to learn and cross-train in different clinical areas and will have the ability to work through problems, provide solutions, and recommend improvements. The candidate must be able to collaborate with a multidisciplinary health-care team to provide instructions and appropriate nutritional care to patients, their families, caregivers, and the public.
Acute-care hospital experience is highly desired.
