Our "Therapeutic Behavioral Services" (TBS) Clinician will be responsible for providing therapeutic and prevention services to clients and families. This includes case management, education, de-stigmatization of mental health issues, and crisis intervention. Demonstrate high legal and ethical standards and operate from a culturally competent and strengths-based approach. The TBS Clinician will fulfill productivity requirements, comply with all documentation standards, and participate in an on-call rotation.
The TBS Clinician clinically guides TBS treatment to clients and monitors the necessity and efficacy of services. The TBS Clinician assists the Success First Program Supervisor as needed.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Microsoft Outlook.
- Clear communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to author and produce emails, letters, reports, and other documents in a professional manner, free of grammar and spelling errors.
- Professional interaction with all levels of employees within the organization.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to complete documentation in a timely manner.
- Excellent time management, organizational, and follow-through skills.
- Reliable transportation for travel up to 2 hours between office locations and within the community.
- Ability to follow directions from a supervisor.
- Ability to understand and follow posted, printed, and/or electronic work rules and procedures.
- Ability to accept constructive criticism respectfully.
- Experience working with people over the phone.
- Ability to perform efficiently and effectively with multiple interruptions.
- Knowledge in report writing, assessment/diagnostic skills, crisis situation handling, and case conceptualization skills, as well as group and family therapy skills.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage and maintain client caseload according to timelines and program guidelines. Meet productivity standards.
- Attend Child and Family Team Meetings when applicable.
- Manage crisis situations appropriately.
- Ensure accurate, thorough, complete, legible, and time-specific documentation daily, within 24 hours and per Medi-Cal standards.
- Maintain licensure status with BBS.
- Promptly contact new clients and prioritize schedules based on client and agency needs.
- Participate in outcome measurement tools administration and collection.
- Complete accurate and professional assessment and diagnosis of mental disorders.
- Maintain constant professional communication and collaboration with other staff.
- Attend all required meetings as a professional representative of SCCS and the client when appropriate.
- Participate in on-call rotation and follow procedures regarding on-call.
- Outreach in the community when necessary, including presentations to groups and participation in outreach activities/resource fairs.
- Facilitate psycho educational and support groups using Evidence-Based Practice interventions and curriculum, as well as prepare educational materials.
- Manage SB785 caseload and follow SCCS Policy and Procedure for SB785 Out of County Referrals when applicable.
- Conduct and complete TBS Assessment and Treatment Plan with clients, caregivers, and additional supports in the family’s home, community, and/or via telehealth.
- Conduct and complete Mental Health Assessment and Client Recovery Plan with clients, caregivers, and additional supports in the family’s home, community, and/or via telehealth.
- Coordinate and consult with external treatment staff and other professionals to ensure collaborative treatment and continuity of care.
- Monitor client progress, facilitate Treatment Team Meetings, and adapt services to maximize efficacy and meet client needs.
- Provide supervision and treatment guidance to TBS coaches.
- Assist program supervisor as needed.
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned.

QualificationsGENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
Education/Experience
Licensure, Registration, Certification
Psychologist (Ph.D. or Psy.
D.), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
