Salary Range: $15.75 - $23.75

Combines motor vehicle handling ability, communication skills, and patient/resident handling. Patient/resident sensitivity and confidentiality are a must, and are practiced at all times. The driver must develop an understanding of the patient’s or resident’s physical and emotional status, work with patients/residents of all ages, transport safely and on schedule, ensure all support equipment is maintained and in good operating condition, set up equipment per manufacturer’s recommendations and internal policy, maintain DOT records, and communicate scheduling conflicts.

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Must be 21 years of age or older and possess excellent customer‑service skills. Driver history must meet Sanford driver qualification standards. Current valid driver’s license required. Must meet all medical guidelines for Sanford Health Category II drivers. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; if not certified at hire, must be certified within six months. Training will be provided.
