Commission ($30 - $55/hour)

Weekly Group Fitness Instructor positions for weekday and weekend openings. Certification required.

Classes offered include:

• Yoga
• Pilates Mat
• Group Cycle
• Bootcamp
• HIIT
• Barre
• Self Defense
• Tai Chi
• Circuit Training
• General group fitness classes

Lead and provide group exercise program instruction through effective verbal and physical demonstration to promote physical wellness.

• Create safe and effective group exercise routines and sequences.
• Articulate clear instructions verbally.
• Demonstrate physically the correct form and posture being taught.
• Offer feedback regarding proper form using any equipment or props.
• Receive feedback and apply it to improve performance.
• Be consistently on time and prepared with all props and equipment.
• Arrive at meetings and appointments on time.
• Ensure work responsibilities are covered when absent.
• Complete administrative tasks correctly and timely.
• Adapt to changes in the work environment.
• Follow instructions and protocols; respond to management direction; support organizational goals and values.
• Observe safety and security procedures; report potentially unsafe conditions; use equipment and materials properly.

• Nationally recognized group fitness certification.
• Minimum of 1 year group fitness instructor experience.
• CPR certification.
• Maintain current certifications.
• Pursue training and development opportunities; continuously build knowledge and skills.

• Personable and welcoming attitude to all members and guests in the facility.
• Knowledge of the fitness industry and fitness equipment.
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uncomplicated written or oral instructions.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
• Communicate via email in a timely manner.

• Maintain good physical fitness; lift at least 25 pounds; move boxes above shoulder level; stand for substantial periods while working at the front desk, walking the facility, or doing physical inventory.
• Visual acuity and hearing to recognize emergency situations and take effective courses of action.
• Frequently walk, reach, push, pull, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; require depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

• Exhibit confidence while presenting the class.
• Instruct with motivation and inspirational charisma.
• Display passion and optimism contributing to building a positive team spirit.
• Promote a harassment-free environment.
