Overview
The Summit Gap Program at Snow Mountain Ranch is a 10‑week experience for young adults ages 18‑25, designed to foster personal and spiritual growth while providing meaningful seasonal work.
Program DetailsProgram dates:
March 3 2026 – May 12 2026
. The program costs no fee to join.
Work schedule:
4 days per week (32 hours total) at $15.16 per hour. Participants will work either food service or housekeeping during the season.
Each week includes a dedicated "Summit Day" for team reflection, mentorship, and community service, and you will have two days off.
Activities Range- Mindfulness walks
- Creation reflection days
- Quiet retreats
- Community or service projects
- Visits to local ministries or interfaith sites
- Guided journaling or devotional workshops
- Meditation or reflection groups
- Trivia or game nights
- Movie or music nights
- Creative art or journaling sessions
- Community dinners and storytelling circles
Participants receive $15.16 an hour. A weekly deduction of $170 covers the Rocky Mountain Living Package, which includes:
- Shared rooms in the staff dormitory with free Wi‑Fi, laundry, and utilities
- Three buffet‑style meals per day, 7 days a week (meals provided during outings)
- Access to YMCA of the Rockies facilities (pool, basketball courts, mini golf, chapel, tennis, pickleball courts, hiking trails, outdoor exercise loop, archery, roller rink, library, craft & design center)
- Free skiing passes to nearby resorts and other activities
- Free gear rentals for sports and outdoor recreation
- Employee programming (staff trips and events)
- Discounted stays at YMCA of the Rockies lodges for family and friends

- Support the Association Safety Program and promote safe work practices
- Promote a cooperative, positive, and flexible atmosphere while working with a diverse group

- May be required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, depending on the position
- Meet acceptable criminal background check standards
