Position: CCO Creative Arts Coordinator (2026)
Location: Granby

YMCA of the Rockies provides a pay range of $592.00/yr - $622.00/yr. Actual pay will be based on your skills and experience.

Position Summary

The Arts and Crafts Coordinator is responsible for program development, lesson plans, training and implementation of arts and crafts curriculum. They oversee equipment, supplies and inventory, ensuring quality of programs to increase learning and enjoyment for all campers. They support the Teen Village Leader in implementing the weekly teen evening program schedule, including Challenger Night and Epic Campout Night. Candidates should be at least 20 years old and have 1‑2 years of camp experience.

Essential Functions For All Camp Staff
  • Create a safe space for all campers, families, and staff; promote safe work practices.
  • Build rapport and positive relationships, putting camper needs first.
  • Respond to requests, troubleshoot problems, and develop solutions respectfully.
  • Contribute to a cooperative, positive camp community as a team player.
  • Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of camp facilities; report repairs promptly.
  • Assist other departments as needed.
Essential Functions For Arts And Crafts Coordinator
  • Participate in and help facilitate staff training before working with campers.
  • Focus on camper development and growth, guiding individuals in group, unit, and all‑camp activities.
  • Develop lesson plans and teach arts and crafts activity programs; support other program area activities as needed.
  • Assist with setup, takedown, and maintenance of program areas.
  • Assume weekend camp responsibilities for one weekend of the summer.
Requirements / Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Preferably has experience working with youth in a summer camp setting.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
  • Must have current CPR/First Aid certification or be willing to obtain certification.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Willingness to comply with YMCA and DOT rules to operate YMCA vehicles, including 15‑passenger mini‑buses.
  • Operate vehicles within DOT regulatory requirements applicable to the position’s driving duties.
  • Hold a valid U.S. driver’s license, or a Commercial Driver’s License if required.
  • Have a satisfactory driving safety record (verified by MVR review).
  • Obtain a DOT medical card (complete DOT physical) to perform driving duties.
  • Pass a pre‑employment drug test.
  • Complete a YMCA driver training program.
Work Environment & Physical Demands

Physical demands include working inside and outside in all weather conditions, hiking on rugged terrain, lifting up to 25 pounds, climbing/work on ladders and in tight spaces.
