The Master Carpenter leads complex carpentry and installation work for modular homes, with cross-training across four interchangeable subcategories:
Steel Framer, Window Installer, Floor Installer, and Hardi Board/Siding Installer (Interior & Exterior). This role owns quality control, trains and mentors junior carpenters, leads cross-training to build team versatility, and drives safety and process improvement in a production environment. The position is critical to build quality, throughput, and consistent workmanship standards across multiple carpentry scopes.
- Lead and oversee complex installations across steel framing, windows, flooring, and Hardi Board/siding to meet design specifications and quality standards.
- Steel Framer:
Oversee complex steel framing tasks; ensure frames are level, plumb, and structurally compliant; perform QC checks and mentor junior framers. - Window Installer:
Lead window installations; ensure precision, fit, sealing, and compliance with installation standards; mentor junior installers. - Floor Installer:
Manage complex flooring installs; ensure accuracy and adherence to plans; perform QC and coach junior installers. - Hardi Board/Siding Installer (Interior & Exterior):
Lead Hardi Board/siding installs; ensure precision, sealing, and compliance with standards; train junior installers on best practices and safety. - Conduct regular safety checks and ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety policies; reinforce PPE requirements.
- Partner with production teams to align carpentry sequencing with schedules and project goals.
- Lead cross-training initiatives to ensure the team can flex across subcategories as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience in carpentry and/or related scopes (steel framing, window installation, floor installation, siding installation).
- At least 2 years of leadership experience (lead, trainer, supervisor, or equivalent).
- Expert proficiency across steel framing, window installation, floor installation, and Hardi Board/siding installation.
- Advanced blueprint and design-specification interpretation skills.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations, quality control, and tool/equipment care.
- Demonstrated leadership, mentoring capability, and strong problem-solving skills.
- Advanced training or certification in carpentry or construction.
- OSHA safety training.
- Onsite at Mytikas Industries’s production facility in Florence, Colorado.
- Leadership-focused production environment; PPE required.
- Schedule:
4 days per week, 10-hour shifts (40 hours total).
- Competitive hourly pay within the posted range ($28.00–$32.00/hour).
