The Journeyman Carpenter independently performs carpentry and installation tasks for modular homes, with cross‑training across four interchangeable subcategories:
Steel Framer, Window Installer, Floor Installer, and Hardi Board/Siding Installer (Interior & Exterior). This role executes work with precision and efficiency, follows blueprints and installation guidelines, maintains tool readiness, and partners with production teams to meet schedules and quality targets.
- Steel Framer:
Install steel wall frames independently; ensure frames are level, plumb, and properly secured; execute from blueprints and meet schedule commitments. - Window Installer:
Install windows independently; ensure proper alignment, fit, and sealing; follow guidelines and blueprint requirements. - Floor Installer:
Install flooring materials (e.g., laminate, tile, hardwood) independently; align to design plans and quality standards. - Hardi Board/Siding Installer (Interior & Exterior):
Install Hardi Board panels independently; ensure proper fit, alignment, and sealing; maintain a clean work area and meet production schedules. - Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Follow safety protocols and company standards to maintain a secure production environment.
- Support cross‑training efforts to maintain versatility across subcategories.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2–3 years of experience in carpentry and/or related scopes (steel framing, window installation, floor installation, siding installation), preferably in manufacturing or construction.
- Proficiency across steel framing, window installation, floor installation, and Hardi Board/siding installation techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and installation guidelines.
- Working knowledge of construction tools, equipment operation, and safety practices.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; strong attention to detail, problem‑solving, and collaboration skills.
- Vocational training or certification in carpentry or construction.
- Certification such as NCCER (as applicable).
- OSHA safety training.
- Onsite at Mytikas Industries’s production facility in Florence, Colorado.
- Production‑driven environment; PPE required (e.g., safety glasses, gloves, hard hats).
- Schedule:
4 days per week, 10‑hour shifts (40 hours total).
- Competitive hourly pay at $25.00/hour.
- Cross‑training and growth opportunities with a pathway to Senior (Master) Carpenter based on demonstrated expertise and leadership.
