What to Expect
The Field Technician, Collaborate Valley Compressor Station and Gathering Field (about 35 miles east of Grand Junction, CO.) is responsible for operational, mechanical, instrument & electrical functions, including inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and replacement of equipment to ensure safe and reliable operations. This work includes such activities as supervising/directing and coordinating with on-site contractors. This role requires a self‑starter with the ability to work independently.
Based on relevant experience and skills, the successful candidate will be considered for either Field Technician I, Field Technician II, or Field Technician III.

- Routine inspection of equipment and facilities (equipment health, security, AVO
- Audio, Visual, Olfactory) and liquid handling systems. - Responsible for Startup, Shutdown, and operation of a variety of gas plant equipment including gas compression units, liquid handling systems, pumps and air compressors.
- Performs maintenance and repair of engines, compressors and associated components, such as compressor valves, spark plugs, cooling and lubrication systems.
- Performs maintenance and repair of pumps and associated components, such as amine, glycol, condensate, NGL, etc.
- Performs maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment such as block valves, control valves, air compressors, manual valves and actuators, etc.
- Performs maintenance and repair of fixed equipment such as filters (all types), strainers, dehydration systems, etc.
- Conducts pipeline pigging, hydrate management, etc.
- Maintains pipeline ROW such as markers, signs, vegetation, and exposures.
- Conducts routine inspection, calibration and repair of end devices such as transmitters, switches, fire eyes, hazardous gas detection, level detection, loop tuning, etc.
- Conducts routine inspection, calibration and repair of meter and associated equipment (meter tube/plates, ultrasonic meter, flow computer).
- Conducts routine inspection, maintenance, and repair of communications equipment, and sampling system.
- Maintain PLC, HMI equipment, software, pipeline valves and actuators.
- Maintain and repair motor control equipment.
- Read and understand P&IDs
- Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
- High School Diploma or GED
- Basic level of proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, Word, and IOS based applications
- 1 or more years of oil and gas operations experience
- Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record
- Be located within a 60-minute drive of the work location to respond to occasional call outs as needed
- Willing and able to perform/comply with the following, with or without reasonable accommodation:
- Regularly stoop, squat, kneel or crouch for durations up to 30 minutes
- To climb various stairs and ladders ranging from 6 to 12 feet.
- Periodically pull/push doors open to move around the gas plant
- Occasionally exerts pulling force of 130 pounds
- Lift up to 50 pounds
- Work a 12 hour rotating work schedule
- Work extended hours, which may include evenings, weekends and holidays
- Work inside gas plant conditions as well as outside conditions that include inclement weather.
- Work safely near large, hot, high-speed machines
- Work in loud environment
- To wear personal protective equipment, such as flame‑retardant clothing, eye protection, ear protection, safety‑toed boots, hard hat, etc.
- Completion of Tech school program
- 5 or more years of oil and gas operations experience
