General Labor, Installation Technician

$25.00/hr - $27.00/hr
Position OverviewReporting to the General Manager, the Environmental Technician will perform non‑emergency and emergency response activities involving confined space entry such as manholes, tank cleaning, oil spill cleanup, drum handling, decontamination, sweeping, shoveling, high pressure washing, and other remedial activities. The role provides safe, responsive, and cost‑effective solutions to meet our clients’ diversified needs while maintaining a safe and inclusive work environment.
Duties & Responsibilities- Wear PPE and adhere to all safety procedures.
- Perform labor‑intensive activities in all weather conditions throughout the shift.
- Work in environments with low clearances, confined spaces, and at heights.
- Operate light and heavy equipment including forklifts, aerial lifts, boom lifts, skid steers, excavators, pressure washers, pumps, and other company work vehicles.
- Attend mandatory training to earn certifications and obtain information specific to responsibilities.
- Ensure all proper paperwork is signed and submitted.
- Work on a rotating on‑call schedule for emergency response, which may require out‑of‑town travel.
- Comply with ongoing and random drug testing and physicals as required by the company.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Must be able to get to/from the job site.
- Demonstrates accountability and punctuality.
- Safety‑oriented mindset with determination to follow all procedures and policies.
- Must pass a pre‑employment physical, drug screen, alcohol testing, and background screening.
- Must successfully complete OSHA HAZWOPER 40‑hour and other mandatory trainings.
- Ability to work a rotating shift, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability and willingness to travel for extended periods of time, overnight and on an on‑call basis.
- Able to read, write, and understand English and follow verbal and written instructions.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- At least 6 months of construction or general labor experience.
- Must be able to withstand exposure to dust, fumes, exhaust, and highly pressurized fluids.
- Must be able to perform physical labor including lifting, pulling, and pushing heavy objects.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
- Must be able to wear PPE.
- Must be able to work under adverse temperature conditions (heat & cold).
