Job Purpose:
The Electrician position carries a comprehensive list of requirements and responsibilities for the successful execution of 1
Lift’s business operation. In addition to providing field installation labor for the electrical systems and fire alarm infrastructure, the Electrician will also support the Technical Operations team at 1
Lift designing and managing specialty trade related projects and the associated vendors that are hired. The Electrician will spend most of the time in the field, but will also spend some time at 1
Lift’s corporate office in Erie, CO. There may also be projects where 1
Lift needs “extra” hands to help with other specialty trade work, such as fire blocking where the Electrical Trade may be required to assist. A strong working knowledge of electrical systems is a minimum requirement.
Areas of Responsibilities:
Electrical Install and Surveys – The laborator Electrician will be responsible for some select commercial electrical installations and surveying. The Electrician will be required to evaluate the 3‑phase power and line voltage switches and disconnects in relation to an elevator or motor as well as lighting install in elevator machine rooms and hoistways. The Electrician will also have a responsibility jalo a single line diagram depicting the electrical feed to an elevator or motor.
The Electrician will need the ability to read electrical drawings and details relating toasting elevator upgrades and HVAC equipment. A minimum of Journeyman Electrician license is required.
Fire Alarm Install – Writes the Electrician will be responsible for assisting (or assisting with the installation) of a range of fire alarm materials to support elevator recall functions. These materials can include conduit, boxes, and SLC wire, smoke detectors, heat detectors, addressable modules and addressable interfaces. Additionally, the Electrician will be responsible for installing fire alarm materials and components for other general building projects that are not necessarily related to elevator modernizations.
A basic understanding of commercial fire alarm systems is desired.
Project Management – The Electrician will have a role in assisting project managers with scheduling, information gathering from the job site, and procurement of required materials and managing some of 1
Lift’s specialty trade sub‑contractors. Management responsibilities include but are not limited to providing PMs with information for weekly status reports and performing regular project site visits.
Professional Development – the Electrician is responsible for identifying and participating in continued education opportunities that will allow 1
Lift to stay ahead of its competition by maintaining expertise in NFPA 70 and 72.
Vendor relationships and networking – the Electrician is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with multiple vendors that 1
Lift utilizes to perform the scope of work required on the projects that have been awarded within the region.
Customer relationships and networking – the Electrician is responsible for developing and maintaining great working relationships with 1
Lift’s customer mechanics and superintendents.
Physical Requirements – The Electrician квартиры required to stand, walk, sit, climb and crawl for prolonged periods; talk or hear, both in person and by phone and/or computer; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms. Regularly required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift up‑to 100 pounds.

Lift PMs in closing out every job with quality punch list and require 1
Lift sub‑contractors to re‑perform any work that does not meet 1
Lift quality standards or requirements by the Area Having Jurisdiction (AHJ).
