Technician, General Facilities Maintenance Walmart

About the Role

General Facilities Maintenance Technician – Join Walmart’s local retail team to perform routine maintenance tasks that uphold the safety, functionality, and aesthetics of store facilities, equipment, and fixtures. Working under the supervision of the local General Maintenance Manager, you’ll conduct inspections, clean, repair, and maintain facilities while adhering to established maintenance schedules and guidelines.

• Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using skills in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling, and food equipment.
• Utilize the work order management system to receive reactive repair work orders, support stores and associates, and document repair activities.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, and test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required training and safety certifications for equipment and tool operation.

• 18 years or older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and move up and down ladders frequently.
• Comfortable working at heights frequently.
• Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time and work in various temperatures.
• Valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass an MVR report.
• Vocational or technical certification and at least 1 year of experience (or 2 years total work experience) in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or a related trade.
