Position OverviewRepresent the company to complex customers, understand their needs, propose appropriate products and services, train less‑experienced staff, and, when necessary, act as Sales Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Collect data on customer needs and design specifications; serve as liaison between technical staff and customers.
- Develop sales contracts for residential, multi‑family, and commercial projects.
- Troubleshoot complex field issues.
- Plan and deliver sales presentations and product demonstrations; clarify how the company can meet customer needs.
- Research, identify, and solicit new customers; generate sales opportunities through client‑needs analysis and competitive assessment.
- Continuously update customers on products and services and explain how they meet current or future requirements.
- Lead meetings, chair discussions, and assist in training less‑experienced sales reps.
- Prepare recurring and special reports for management.
- Attend company‑sponsored training programs and, where appropriate, serve as presenter.
- Manage work efficiency to meet daily, weekly, project, or team productivity goals.
- Follow all safety procedures and attend periodic safety meetings; recommend safety improvements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School/GED (minimum); preferred Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, or a related field plus two or moreитар years of sales experience.
- Two years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- In‑depth knowledge of company products, services, production processes, and standards.
- Understanding of sales and customer‑service policies and procedures.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information.
- Professionalism, diplomacy, and tact in representing the company.
- Highly effective selling and presentation skills, including presenting complex material to non‑experts.
- Ability to achieve aggressive sales goals.
- Strong prioritization and time‑management skills for unsupervised work.
- Well‑developed interpersonal and influencing skills at all customer organization levels.
- Capability to train and develop less‑experienced outside sales reps.
- Attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Office Suite.
- Valid driver’s license.
Work will occur in a typical office setting and on outdoor customer sites subject to temperature and weather variations. Must lift up to 25 lbs frequently and up to 80 lbs occasionally; travel to customer locations is required.
Other InformationSalary range: $60,000–$75,000. No supervisory responsibilities.
