Position SummaryThe Gift Shop/Store Clerk will greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner at all times. Once customers have made their selections the clerk will use the register system to charge customers for their items. Between customers clerks will clean, front displays, and unload new merchandise. Ensures Gift Shop/Store presents an appealing aspect to potential customers and is tidy and clean including glass display cases and windows.
Sells merchandise, operates electronic cash register and maintains attractive displays. Position requires a high level of customer service skills because of the amount of customer interface. Regularly has to lift up to 25 lbs. weight to table height.

VolunteerRequirements
As an On-Grounds Volunteer, there is a minimum service of at least 24 - 28 hours per week depending on the season. Peak Times - 28 Hours per Week - Saturday before Memorial Day through Saturday after Labor Day;
Two Saturdays before Christmas through 1st weekend of April. Off-Peak Times 24 Hours per Week - 1st weekend of April through Saturday before Memorial Day;
Saturday after Labor Day through 2 Saturdays before Christmas.
- Serve customer needs through friendly, helpful service
- Help customers find items they are looking for
- Present and rotate merchandise in an appealing manner
- Collects money, makes change and balances cash drawer, submits daily and accurate deposits
- Stocks shelves with merchandise
- Uses the Silverware register system
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to stand in one place for lengthy periods of time
- Must be able to read and understand English
- Must be able to work mornings, evenings, holidays and weekends

- Regularly lift up to 50 pounds up to four (4) feet high
- Be able to stand in one place up to eight (8) hours a day
- Short bursts of stooping, kneeling, and bending.
