• Must be able %#10;? to work varied shifts and days off, including weekends and holiday periods.
• Mix and serve alcoholic and non‑alcoholic drinks to patrons.
• Learn and follow all beverage recipes and adhere to the established pour policy.
• Operate within full compliance of liquor laws and regulations.
• Adhere to and enforce all control systems.
• Learn the prices of all drinks.
• Collect payment and promptly settle all cash and charge transactions.
• Requisition liquor and other supplies when needed with supervisor's approval.
• Keep bar area clean and organized at all times and prepare it for the next shift. Inform supervisor of guests who appear intoxicated.
• Ask for identification of all suspected under‑age patrons.
• Responsible for knowing the types, glasses, and brand names of the products we offer. Offer a substitute item if a requested item is not in stock.
• Has a thorough understanding and knowledge of all drink recipes and the preparation and garnishment of all drinks.
• Understand the operation of all soda, juice, and liquor guns.
• Handle Company funds through cash transactions on the Micros System.
• Follow all cash handling procedures as listed in the Food & Beverage Manual.
• Conduct yourself in a manner that reflects a positive, professional image for Ameristar Casino Black Hawk.
• Practice and observe safety rules and regulations and encourage others to do so.
• Handle chemicals for the glass washing machine safely.
• Responsibly account for all cash variances within +/- $10.00.
• Maintain cleanliness of your workstation/bar.
• Serve cocktail servers; serve them only at their stations.
• Keep the bar completely stocked for the next shift.
• Inform beverage manager on duty of any problems.
• Fully understand how to operate the Micros System.
• Adhere to established policies and procedures regarding customer service standards.
• Has cash handling experience.
• Must be able to handle a flexible schedule.

• Must be 21 years of age or older to work on the casino floor.
• Must be able to stand/walk 100% of your shift.
• One (1) year’s experience as a bartender in a fast‑paced environment.
• Able to lift 50 pounds.
• Able to communicate sufficiently with co‑workers and supervisors.
• Adhere to established policies and procedures regarding customer service standards.
• Must have a friendly, outgoing personality.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Colorado Gaming License.
