Natural Resources Specialist; Temporary Seasonal

This seasonal position is located in Grand Junction, CO and Gunnison, CO. We expect to fill 3 vacancies at this time; however, additional positions may be filled from this announcement if they become available. This is a temporary appointment. Appointment to this position will not convey permanent status and will be for a period not-to-exceed 1039 hours in a service year.

• Learns to ensure data quality and integrity by adherence to quality control standards and procedures.
• Assists other specialists in efforts to plan, carry out, and report on field inventories to evaluate the health of biological resources. The incumbent will assist with the analysis inventory data to identify any impacts or concerns.
• Documents, evaluates, and reports changes in natural resources status. Assists more senior resources specialists in the development, implementation, and maintenance of resource management plans.
• Participates in the implementation of natural resource programs by assisting with specific projects.
• The incumbent may setup and implement new procedures for recurring well precedented natural resource improvement projects in coordination with other more senior resource specialists and/or the supervisor.
