Seasonal Pedal Boat Attendant

HIRING RANGE IS $15.66-$18.00/HR

The City of Northglenn is in search of dynamic, well-qualified, and organized candidates for the role of Pedal Boat Attendant. Reporting to the Recreation Coordinator, the successful candidate will be tasked with the daily operations of the boat house located at Webster Lake.

• Monitor activities in and around Webster Lake, including the process of pedal boat rentals through a point-of-sale system, ensuring that safety is maintained by observing customers and enforcing rules and regulations.
• Perform basic cleaning duties at the boat house and handle cash transactions while providing excellent customer service.
• Open the boat house, prepare the boats for daily service, and close the boat house, securing the boats under the boat house after each shift.
• Balance daily cash drawer and drop cash bag at the end of the shift.
• Schedule will vary between the hours of 9:45 a.m. – 8:15 p.m. approximately 17-25 hours per week Monday – Sunday.
• Must be able to work from May 20th – August 9th with the possibility of working weekends through September 7th.
• Must be able to attend training that will be held on the evenings of May 20 and 21.
• Must be able to work July 4th.
• Must be able to attend staff meetings on the June 19th, July 13th, and August 7th.

• Must be at least sixteen (16) years of age at the time of hire.
• Prior public customer service experience and cash handling highly desirable.
• Knowledge and experience with computers preferred.

• Duties are performed in an outdoor park setting.
• Most of the work is done in an enclosed boat house and out on a boat dock to assist patrons in and out of boats and cleaning around boat house area to include the boat dock.
• Requires climbing under boat dock and moving from one boat to another to secure and retrieve boats for daily operation.
• Requires the ability to be flexible in daily operations, adjusting to changing conditions and solving problems.
