Type:
Contract (13 weeks)
Shift: Varies, Mostly Nights - must be able to work both 8 hour and 12 hour shifts to reach the 36 hour guarantee for the week.
Minimum Experience:
3 years
Registered Nurse Responsibilities in Long Term Care:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to residents in long-term care facilities.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for residents.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor residents' health status and report any changes to the healthcare team.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure holistic care.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Educate residents and their families about health conditions and treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of nursing assessments and interventions.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and facility policies.
- Current RN license in [State/Province].
- Previous experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Compassion and empathy for elderly residents.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) preferred.
