We are currently hiring Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants for our Detox and Residential treatment facility in Fort Collins, CO.
Job Summary:We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) to provide medical care, medication management, and clinical oversight in a detox and residential substance use disorder treatment setting. This role emphasizes patient stabilization, interdisciplinary collaboration, accurate documentation, and regulatory compliance, allowing clinicians to practice thoughtfully in a structured, supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct medical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide medical monitoring and medication management in detox and residential care
- Stabilize patients with substance use disorders to support engagement in treatment
- Order and review medications, labs, and urine drug screens (UDS)
- Document all medical care in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Collaborate with medical, clinical, and utilization review (UR) teams
- Ensure compliance with state regulations, JCAHO, CARF, and ASAM standards
- Manage daily and weekly patient schedules efficiently
Required Qualifications:- Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) license in Colorado
- Valid Colorado medical license
- Active DEA registration
- Experience in substance use disorder treatment, behavioral health, psychiatry, or mental health (1+ year preferred)
- Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
This is an in-person role in a detox and residential treatment setting where clinicians are trusted to practice with integrity and compassion. You'll be part of a collaborative, supportive team that values clinical judgment, open communication, and shared responsibility-working together to help patients stabilize, engage in treatment, and begin meaningful recovery.
