Flight Nurse Incentives
- Starting Range $97,000-$100,000 annually
- $10,000 Sign‑on Bonus payable in two installments following the end of training
- Schedule is a 5 days on/10 days off rotation
- Company paid crew housing while on shift
We’re hiring Flight Nurses to provide direct patient care in accordance with GMR protocols and/or medical direction. They also assist with coverage of open shifts as needed in the assigned area.
Job Duties- Assess each situation to determine the best course of action to support, monitor and treat patients in critical care situations.
- Utilize critical thinking skills to manage the critically ill or injured adult or pediatric patient and support physicians’ orders.
- Take pride in providing a safe, clean, and well‑stocked aircraft environment, maintain regular equipment and base checks, and comply with safety standards and briefings.
- Work collaboratively and effectively communicate in a professional manner with air and ground teams, dispatch, flight crews, facilities, and partners.
- Share shift‑change information with the transitioning team and follow protocols to maintain accurate company and regulatory documentation and records.
- Maintain required certifications and ongoing training.
Experience:
- Minimum of three years’ experience in an emergency or critical care setting.
- Flight experience preferred.
Education:
- Current RN licensure in the states served by the assigned area.
- EMT certification in state(s) where required.
- AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP required prior to flight status; trauma certification required within 6 months of hire.
- Advanced certification (CEN, CCRN, CFRN) preferred, required within 12 months of hire.
- Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS preferred.
- Must be willing to shave facial hair (if needed) to fit an N95 mask.
- Must possess gross and fine motor skills necessary to provide all patient care activities safely.
- Lift and/or move up to 150 pounds cumulative with assistance.
- Specific vision abilities required: close, distant, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Must be able to work a flexible work schedule.
