Job Summary
To serve New Life Church by co-labor with the Family Ministry Team to recruit, support and encourage volunteers
to provide a fun, safe, and edifying environment at New Life East Kids and NLE Students.
Duties and Responsibilities
Weekly:
- Volunteer Process & Management
- Volunteer Recruiting - Children's and Students
- SERVE Process
- Scheduling interviews
- Conducting interviews
- Integrating volunteers to current team
- Assessing potential volunteers' gifts/strengths
- Orienting them to expectations for serving
- Support the volunteer goals of Student and Family Pastor
- Scheduling for Sunday's via CCB
- Work with the Classroom Coordinator for insight to manage weekly & monthly schedules for volunteers serving in NLE Children's Ministry
- Volunteer Communication
- Work with Childrewn's Ministry Director to fill in volunteer gaps or cancellations
- Foster a sense of belonging/connection with current volunteers via coffee/lunch dates
- Uphold New Life Family Ministry's values, standards and language
- Assist in set-up and tear-down
- Check-In /Hall monitor oversight for at least one service
- Train new Check-In volunteers when needed
- Support Check-In Team (new families, technical issues, etc.)
- Support greater needs of the ministry when necessary
- Classroom assistance, service help, hall monitor, etc
- Provide weekly support for NLE Rooted discipleship experience (2x's/year; 10 weeks)
- Attend all required team meetings
- Participate in additional meetings when requested.
- Work collaboratively with all staff to foster a strong team environment and effectively support the ministries of New Life Church.
- Cooperate with NLE Staff by performing any other duties when asked to do so
- Be on time for designated shift
- Maintain a positive and respectful attitude
- Maintain confidentiality when discussing behavioral/specialized needs issues
- Assist the department in coordinating various tasks and procedures.
- Communicate regularly with supervisor about departmental issues.
- Assist supervisor with special projects, events, and diverse tasks in support of the department.
- Attend department meetings, regular all-staff meetings and other meetings as required.
- Utilize a thorough understanding of New Life Church employee policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate ongoing financial support for ministries of New Life Church.
- Work in close association with the entire staff to build and maintain a strong team environment.
- Cooperate with leadership by performing any other duties when asked to do so.
- Good time management and ability to maintain a calendar
- Be adept at developing life-giving rapport and relationship with staff, team members, volunteers and guests.
- Demonstrate being highly motivated and self-starting "people person" who is forward-thinking.
- Demonstrate spiritual maturity and sensitivity.
- Possess understanding of stages of childhood development with insight into everyday parental challenges.
- Strong leadership and team building abilities

- Experience with email, such as MS Outlook and other Office suite applications
- Strong organizational and office skills

Education:
High School Diploma or GED required
Experience:
1-2 years of related experience
Working Conditions and Requirements of Office Environment
Physical Demands:
- Regularly required to sit, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
- Close visual acuity is necessary to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
